BOOK

All the Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr
Scribner (2014)
ISBN-13: 978-1501173219

What does it mean to own your own life? What forms does power take? How can fiction deal most effectively with Nazism, a notoriously difficult topic to write about?

We will take on these questions and more in a seminar on Anthony Doerr’s 2014 novel All the Light We Cannot See. This fast-paced book offers many avenues for discussion around themes of love, family, agency and guilt.

This seminar is a perfect companion to our April 2025 tour Art and Resistance in Paris and Champagne. Tour registrants take $150 off the registration price.
